i just got a 351 clevend long block for free from my friend and i wanna throw it in a 32 ford or a 60's T-bird.

what is the best idea for a trans....if i want a 5 speed. could i use a T-5 off of a late model stang? this will be fun though!

I have heard that the t-5 fits behind the 351C no problem, however it I were going to hop up the engine, or drive it hard at all, I would strongly consider the tremec trans.

I always thought a T-5 *is* a Tremec 5-speed. No?

Tremec owns BW's tranny division but the T-5 is not the Tremec he is refering to the ones sold as tremecs the tr-3550 and such are alot stronger than the T-5.
