Default master cylinder?

Well I'm going to be forced into modifying my braking system because I can't add a brake booster with a hydraulic cluch in the way so now I'm stuck trying to figure out if the master cylinder for power brakes will work fine if I just add a rod to it and use it as a manual? Or does anyone know of a master cylinder that isn't for a power booster that is for 4 wheel disc brakes. Also in worse case scenario what can go wrong with using that master cylinder which is for a power booster in manual form?
