Post Valve adjustment

Help!!!!Please. I have 88 GT that I put an E 303 cam in,(.498 lift intake and exhaust)(220 duration intake and exhaust). Plus I changed the heads to a pair of 1969 302 windsors with 58cc combustion chambers and 1.90 intake and 1.50 exhaust valves. Ever time that I try to adjust the valves I get piston to valve interference. Ever one that I talked to said that I should not have any problems. Does any one know the proper sequence for adjusting the valves for an 88 302 with a roller cam Thanks for any info cause I miss driving my Stang to work.My Email address is : gran681283@aol.com

Thumbs up

first, make sure the lifter you are adjusting is completely off of the lift of the cam lobe. loosen the adjuster & let the lifter fill with oil. tighten until all play is removed from the pushrod. stop. tighten one quarter turn more. that should work. JIM
