Question motor off balance???

And yet another problem im going to pose to you guys. I got the 68 up and running yesterday and went and drove it. Seems to lack any substantial power and the motor seems to vibrate much more than normal upon acceleration. I know the 302 wasnt as refined in 68 as it was in the fox bodied 80's but i was still expecting more.....as of right now my 66 whips it hands down(fine with me as mine is 66, my wifes is the 68..).
i also posted earlier about the ticking noise from the engine....out on the road that noise become intermitten...comes and goes. any ideas are always appreciated. thanks............mac

Question

What shape are the motor and tranny mounts in? My 200 would lift and vibrate until I found out I needed new mounts. Just a thought.
