Default possible lifter noise
have 66 mustang 289..stored car for winter ran fine no noise..started up ..have what sounds like a loud lifter noise..only things done different over winter..was a 1inch spacer for carb...and a new set of holley valve covers..this may sound dumb..but could have the valve covers be creating the problem..oil press is fine
