My step-father is a mopar dick. He says that all mustangs are "death-traps". The reasons that they are "so-called" death-traps is that swerve all over the road, always brake down and have no side protection. And he said that he wouldn't take one if he was paid to. He also says that he never works on FORD products because they are peices of shit. I really hate the way he dogs my 69 and my brothers 86. And he used to drag race a 66 2+2 with a 390........

Well, I feel alot better now that I have written this. Any and I mean any comments are welcome.Oh yah, I am looking for a good 4bbl; combo (302) for $350 or so, near DFW.

Well I'll say that he is full of shit because the 390 didn't come out until 67. Tell him that mopar means MOVE OVER PEOPLE ARE RACING.

In all fairness, he could have raced a 66-390. I have an 82GT with a 351 Cleveland/C-6 in it. But I agree the guy is a sh#tbag. All manufacturers have made some big mistakes and there are poor examples of all still being driven. But a DODGE? They have absolutely the worst transmissions in the industry. Dodge even admits this. A salesman told me this while trying to seel me a Dodge truck that contained a manual transmission which he really needed to move.

Sounds like a serious asshole. If he did manage to stuff a 390 in a 66, he had to do some serious reworking of the shocktowers. The headers on a 351 that was in my old 65 BARELY cleared. Take him out one day and put a good Ford whuppin on im'.

yes i hear it all the time. everyone out here in phx loves them chevy trucks but you know what they say when i pull up in my 95 stang? everytime without failure " hey man nice car" or " those five-oh's kick *** don't they?". and yes every manufacturer has made serious mistake in the past and even today and when you work as a technician you see it first hand and the bravado about this and that manufacturer doesn't hold water. the bottom line for me is this: show me one good product (performance or otherwise) from chrysler in the past 20 years, and i'll show you my title. for me, i would without hesitation purchase and proudly own a GM product before a dodge. and yes i'm loyal ford customer. this guy who picks on you about your car probably has never worked on cars and doesn't realize that all car manufacturers have and will make some really bad cars. when he picks on you ask him why the camaro, firebird and the mustang are all around after 30 years but chrysler doesn't have one mass produced sports car. and no the viper is not mass produced. and it is overrated.
