Mustang works?
Come on guys, I know there are alot of you that are members here at mustang works, but no one leaves messages! You must live in the perfect world and have no problems or advice with others for cars.
all have a nice weekend! Larry of Mason, Ohio God Bless America |
Summer time is Drive Time
I can't speak for the rest, but I typically do all of my work in the winter time since I can't drive the car anyway. All I am doing this summer is stocking up on parts and getting ready for the next project (oh - and driving the heck out of the car). So - I read the posts and contribute where I can, but don't usually have many questions. Way to busy for 2 boards.

I probably check the boards atleast once a day.
If I can answer something I usually do, but... I also look at the number of posts a person has. I am less likely to respond if a person has a few posts under their belt. . Reason being is I get tired of going threw something only never to hear from the poster again. (Wasted answer?) maybe I guess. Especially if its a long answer. If it's someone that has been around awhile and I can lend some asisstance, Im happy to do so. Usually that type of poster will come back with a responce, thank you or kiss my azz, something anyway. As far as the Blue Oval Lounge. Im not sure why people don't leave any comments about off topic threads. Thats what keeps the site going. I like reading peoples reactions more so than the thread topic itself.. Wether or not it's lack of people coming here anymore , only Dan would know from looking at the logs. I stay here because Im loyal. This was one of my first websites I ever started posting on. Ive seen them come and go. Maybe a dozen or so hard core posters left here. |
Contribution?
I usually only post if I think I have something constructive to offer. Often someone else has already answered the question or given good advice. A new thread should be of general interest or at least ask for specific advice. Gratuitous posts are a waste of everyone's time IMHO.

Very good
Well - I can only speak from my own experience...but every time that I have had an issue - I got some great advise from this board. I also check once a day and only read this forum category. It kinda brightens my day and someday I hope to have as many posts as mustangII460.

i just want pimp mods like mustangII460 all i have are 5 hp adding stickers :-/ (j/k on the stickers)
|
Ya know what. I just noticed I have no stickers. Time to fix that.

Yeah I would definitely like to see more classic mustang people here. There aren't a whole lot of classic mustang forums and we really need a good one. I wish there were more people here.

Have an Idea?
Hey Dan,
Its good to hear from ya! Its not often the president of a website will speak up! How about advertising alittle more. Heck if it a considerable amount of more money, set up a donation box, and let existing members and new members donate if possible. im on here at least twice a day, and i for one would love to see this website grow. im a member for life, i dont plan on leaving and would love to see it grow like some other mustang sites! larry of mason, ohio |
maybe if some of the members have web sites that get lots of hits they could link to the mustangworks site? i 2nd the advertising and id donate if a donation box was set up
|
I'm still around and attempt to give some advice from time to time. It's comimg from a girl but it's still advice. :D
*And everyone knows girls are always right* |
Around my house advice from a woman is called a (a$$) chewing.
I think we could help out a little by some of us getting together somewhere , IE: car show, and flying the MW's colors. I wouldn't mind putting a static sticker on my car during shows etc. for free advertisment. If the sticker is provided. |
Logistics?

What Laungage?
Please speak in English - I am lost already?

sticker
I would be more then happy to put a static sticker on my car for the car shows and cruise-ins. This is the only site for Mustangs I have been a member of and I hope it will always be that way.

id put a small one on my car ...although ive heard that if you put it across the top of your windshield you get a massive 80 hp
|
Just think of the downforce aswell as the HP being on the windshield.
Come to think of it. If its a static cling sticker. Put it on the hood and Im sure it would increase spark voltage! 30 thousand maybe? |
haha

I'm going to a carshow next week but I think I'm a bit far away from most of the members here. Oh well , any other ideas?

Re: Mustang works?
Hello i just need anyones help. I have a friend who is all about Camaro's. I am all for Mustangs. I have an "Black 2003 Mustang GT" I just got it but before i got the car all i heard was OOO I saw this camaro beat this mustang. What i notices it was always a 5 or 6 speed fixed up camaro against a Stock Mustang Gt automatic. Well no wonder the camaro won. I guess That there Camaro's SUCK so bad they have to race unfairly and then brag about it because that is all they can do. I heard This over and over. I am getting tired of it. I just want to know how to fix my car up so that i can beat any wanna be Bad A$$ with there puss Camaro.
I have a Stock 03 Mustang Gt and need to beat a 2002 Camaro with an LT1 & Racing Air Filter. Please help me out i have got to prove him wrong. Mustangs all the way baby. |
Re: Mustang works?
Hello can anyone please write me and let me know how i can make a post NOT a Reply but a Post i have a question i need help with and i need step be step process on how to set a post. It would help me greatly. Thanks

Re: Mustang works?
Go back to the "Classic Mustang" section of the forum boards and at the beginning of the list of threads you'll see a box, "New Threads". Hit it and fill in the blanks. That's how you start a new thread.
Hope that helps. Now to your question how to beat a camaro?? Quickest, cheapest and easiest is to add NOS. |
Re: Mustang works?
I'm with Orlowted - this site has been a Godsend for me. Although I don't respond as often as some primarily due to the fact that I don't have the knowledge that most of you folks do, I am on here most days and have learned a great deal. I don't think that I have ever failed to get replies to my queries and have saved a bunch of money, time and aggravation by listening to the advice I have received. If contributions are what is needed, count me in. E.
