Default Need Alternator wiring help

I'm putting a stock alternator back in after having a late alt in the car(long story of trying to find a short that doesn't exist to only find out the wonderful 130amp alt overcharges and kills batteries)

So I have a new factory harness for the alt (68) and a new alt. I know where two of the wires go (the obvious ones that go to the back of the alt. Where do the other two halfway down the harness go??

I thought they went to the positive side of the solenoid and the Ignition terminal but when I tried to hook up the battery it really didn't like it as the cable tried to weld itself to the battery so I have something wrong and the shop manual for the car is 100miles away. Any help is appreciated.
