G-Are you sure this is a "G" and not a 6. First charector of a vin number on these cars is supposed to be the last digit of the year it was made. If it is a 6. That means its a 66 Fastback.
F-Recieved in Dearborn
9-Fastback body style
C-Engine code. 289 two barrel.
The remaining numbers showed be the the unit# this particualar car was out of the dearborn plant . Are you sure that "B" might not actually be and 8?
Can you recheck the vin# for me, or look at the title to see what it is. I know how them old vin plates, and inner fenders can age, and be covered with 8000 layers of paint and crap, and be hard to read most of the time. I had to take a brilo pad to mine to get all they layers of filth off.
Drop me a line after that. If you can give me the rest of the numbers on the door tag, I'll tell you were it was shipped to, what the orginal color, and interior were, the axle and ratio it is supposed to have, and tranny. Oh and what month it was made.
