Thumbs up New respect for my ''stang

I am amazed!. After all your help i've been able to mostly remedy my carburetor problems. But geez that wasn't all!. I feel like a bad mother! lol! My 'stang, weighed down with all the junk she could carry (i was moving) drove the 1000 miles from southern cali to idaho, with amazing grace considering. I know my straight six engine is nearing its end, but crossing fingers, and updating everything including the sparkplugs etc, i headed off. (i am saving to rebuild the engine, but as yet, have quite a ways to go!) Anyways, On route, the trouble we had included, stalling at lights after being on the highway all day, unable to stay in gear while driving slowly, pieces of the carburetor FALLING off, and what sounded like misfiring on the last leg. The damage was, i was running on THREE spark plugs by the end of the trip, (can you believe she was even going?!), a transmission leak , that i still can't find, although with the addition of fluid the problem has dissapeared, (and somehow the leak! and the missing carburetor peice has been replaced by a perfectly sized nail!
I am just in shock at how much punishment this old beast can take and still rumble along!. I love this car!!!!
I just had to share, even though it definately paints a horrid picture of my car skills The good news is, that she's going great now, new plugs again, new coil, new air/oil/fuel filters (gawd you should have seen them!), new hoses.....now if i can just get this carburetor adjusted right!

I have a question too, i may have to visit family for a couple of months, and i will have nowhere to keep my 'stang. Are there any storage facilities that you guys would recommend?. I don't mind where in the US, as long as it's a good place. Thankyou!
