Default OK wha'd I screw up now?

My car cranks, but wont seem to catch, I checked the plugs cap and rotor this weekend, everything seemed ok, except for some light carbon on 5 of the plugs, cap and rotor looked ok, I buttoned everything back up, and the car hasnt started since then. It'll crank, but wont catch.
I dont think the motors gettin any spark, since I pulled one of the plug wires, and inserted a screwdriver bit , and couldnt get a spark off the valve cover or the motor.
I've replaced the coil and cap and rotor, the points looked brand new, and sparked when I touched the armature.
The motors getting gas, you can see it in the throat when you move the linkage.
Can anyone offer any help??Please??

Lose the points and get a igniter from Pertronix. Some auto parts stores carry them now. @70$

Hard to say what you did wrong. I suspect you messed up the point gap.

Ironically enough, I ordered the Petronix kit on friday, the car died on Sunday, and the Ignitor came in the mail Monday night. The problem with the car was the points had basically melted(?) on the bottom half of the contacts (I apparently didnt open the points up enough when I checked them to see the damage)
But the kits in the car now, and its running much better, still stumbles a bit, but oh well, its at least running.
This weekend, I get to put the other stuff I ordered in

Thanks,
J
