Default ? original 289 engine color of 65 Mustang

I've been told by some people that the orininal color of a 65 Mustang 289 engine color is black other told be it is blue. Anyone has the right answer? I appreciate any responses.

65 289s were black blocks and heads, with gold valve covers.

Ford went to blue in 1966.

My 65 Mustang was built on May 14 1965, and came with a black block and gold valve covers.

I'm rebuilding mine now. Does anyone know the actual name of the "gold' used on the '65 covers?
