Angry Ingnition Key Cyl replacment tips needed

My Ignition key cylinder just jammed up on me. I can barely shut it off and can't get the key out I assume the key cyl has jammed up and it needs replacement. From previous experience with other cars, this can be tricky. Any tips how to do this without blowing the air bag in my face.

TIA

Ive never heard of a problem with the airbag going off just by replacing the key Cyl. I've also never replaced the one in a stang, only ever done a truck. It wasnt tricky at all. Just push the little button in with a pick or nail thats on the bottom of the column right under the cylinder. I could be wrong, that would be twice now haha, the ones ive done were'nt tricky at all btu a stang may be different.

I just replaced mine a month ago. Only difference was I couldnt put my key in the ignition so I had to drill mine out. If you can put the key in and turn it to the run position its easy to change. Turn the key to run push the button under the cylindar and it pulls right out.

Ok that sounds easy, I had to pull the Steering wheel on both of my GM cars to access the cyl. Next task is to find a replacment cyl! Ford only sells a complete lock set according to my local dealer!

I bought my cyl. right at my local parts store. Any parts store should have them for about 25 bucks.

Auto Zone up the street, $12.99 Already put it in. Heck it was harder to disconnect the ding dong wire than to pop out the cyl. I also bought a Ign switch and may put that in later its crappy out now. I feel better that my ign is locked again!!!

I also got a door lock set, since my pass door was replaced by a P/O and I have no key for it! I'm gonna get it re-keyed to match the trunk and drivers door.

Thanks Guys.
