parts for ' 77 Mustang II

I bought a ' 77 Mustang II a couple of weeks ago and I'm having a hard time finding replacement parts for it . I would appreciate it if anyone knows someone who carries a large selection of parts , or if I can use parts from a different year .

Tick, what parts are you looking for? The majority of mechanical parts are common to the Ford line. Body and soft trim parts are available, but most Mustang suppliers don't carry them. If you can be more specific, we'll try to help.

I am specificaly looking for an instrument cluster . The plastic on the back of mine is brittle and the bulb holders wont hold tight enough for the instrument panel lights to work . But I would also in the future like to replace the interior .

The famous disintegrating cluster! You'll just have to scout the salvage for that. The original in my White '77CBII (61K) is holding up nicely. The '78CBII (76K) is (was)toast. Replaced with the cluster back from a Texas '77 CB. My '76 CBII cluster seems OK so far. I can say that the '78 and a '78 parts car that both came out of Kansas did not hold up. The white '77 spent most of it's early years in Iowa (stored winters) and seems to be the best of the 5. I think that the intense summer heat of southern states kills the plastic. Know a guy in Los Angeles that has the same problem.

The seat covers are sold in presewn kit form by Mustangs Unlimited. Other interior pieces are reasonably available for most items, through salvage or MII specialty suppliers.

Hope this was some help...

I have a couple of good instrument clusters. If you are interested, e-mail me with specifics, like what MPH the speedo goes up to, what color the needles are, etc.
