Post PCV valve

I couldn't find a push on oil breather cap with the PCV valve fitting for some new valve covers I put on my stang. So I capped off the vaccum line and put in a regular breather. The motor seems to run just fine. Am I damaging anything or getting any negative benefits by doing away with the PCV valve? All my buddies said it's fine, but I wanted to get a second opinion from you guys. Thanks.

This is a debatable issue and with a breather on both sides it will work, the drawback is that you could start seeing oil stains around the breathers. This also could cause some oil fumes coming into your fresh air vents.
Check with national parts depot 1-800-874-7595 they carry the push on style with the PCV.

Just my 2 cents....
I had two K&N (very unrestrictive) breathers (no pcv) on my 347 when I first built it and I kept blowing the intake manifold seal out at the back of the block. Oil everywhere. After I configured a pcv in one valve cover and a breather in the other I have never had a problem.
