![]() I am trying to find out how rare my 65 is.It is a deluxe interior,Gt convertible. It is Ivy Green, with a White interior. This color combo is not listed in any of the books I have, but I've heard that Ford sometimes put together cars from extra interior parts. The build date is June 65,from the dearborn plant. Thanks!

![]() Have you decoded your data plate to see if those colors are original? Even if it is an unusual color combo it should show on the data plate if it came from Ford that way. Unfortunately, a lot of data is missing on 65/66 production, I have heard of people who can research that type of combo but only from about 1967 on up I believe.
A lot of Mustangs have been changed over the years to suit the taste of the owner. My reference How to Restore Your Mustang shows Ivy Green available with Black, Ivy Gold & White, White with Black appointments, or White with Ivy Gold appointments in the deluxe interior, so it was a factory option. My 66 was Ivy Green with the 2 tone Ivy Gold and White deluxe interior, it was worn out when I got it, but it looked really nice.
