Perspective in a flat picture taken off angle is rough but it looks to me like the H pipe is too narrow and this promotes the passengers side header pipe from being directly along the side of the transmission tunnel. The two pipes should both go down their respective sides of the transmission tunnel leaving the central area free for the driveshaft. Emergency brake lines also go down the center and if not equally spaced right/left I can see why you're having problems.

If you reverse the connection at the header reducer flange, what happens to the pipe? I realize this positions the "H" pipe outlet facing away from center but to me it looks like they welded the "H" connector on the wrong side of the pipe. If you reverse connect it, does the pipe line up with the transmission tunnel? This is AFU.
