![]() Does anyone know how hard it is to replace the window regulators on the left side door and quarter window. I have never replaced these before I want to know what I'm getting myself into. How easy is it to remove rear seat and side panel to replace regulator? I wanted to see if somewhat easy to replace or I should have someone professional replace these. Im sick of manually putting up window by hand(regulator broke).
Thanks for info.

![]() All depends on your mechanical knowledge. Either of the two regulators aren't "Hard" if you are mechanical. But, if you aren't....they're hard.
Get a shop manual if you don't know. To get to the rear, 1/4 window: 1] Pop seat bottom out, from front of seat bottom 2] Take the rear seat back out, two screws holding at bottom near seat belts. 3] Remove window crank. 4] Remove door sill plate 5] Remove windlace 6] Remove 1/4 trim panel, couple screws, clips, etc. 7] Remove and replace regulator assy.

![]() I have not replaced the rear window but when I first got my '67 about 10 years ago I had to replace the driver's window mechanism. It was one of the first things I tried to do on my own. I was - still am - a novice but after wrestling with the thing for a day or two I finally figured it out. I suppose what I am trying to say is if I can do it anyone can. Have fun. E.
