Weird sound from wheel, bearing?
Yesturday at the drag stip, I noticed a kinda scraping sound from the right front, mostly when I turned. I didn't think much of it cause I had recently put in new springs, and thought they could have just settled in and created some wheel rub. My dad and I looked very closely at both wheels this morning, and saw no rubbing, or evidence of it. Anyone know what it could be? Possibly a bearing? It seemed to occur mostly when turning, but did it once when I was backing up straight and hit the brakes.

Could be your brakes man, I put on some new discs and pads and for a while they made a scraping noise when I turned. It was weird, but eventually it stopped. Could be a wheel bearing though.

That happened to me too after I put on my springs. On the backside of the rotor, there are 2 metal splash guards. I had bent the bottom one out a bit so it was rubbing on the rotor. Check that out....I bet that's your problem.

I'm pretty sure its not the brakes, I didn't actually look at it (I'll check it out) but didn't seem to b connected with brakes. The dust guard sounds like a possibility though.

Sounds like wheel rub to me. Only after it scrapes for a while it starts to show signs. What kind of springs did you put in?
