Best way to remove power steering.

Someone told me I could just remove the power steering and plug the holes where the hoses come from the steering box.

Will I have to get a manual steering box out of an older car or is there a way to rig up the one I got.

How much does the removal of the power steering help out ET's.

Later.

I removed the power steering pump, all lines(rubber and metal) and changed the belt to fit. I plugged up the rack holes and haven't had any probs yet, but was told I will need to get the manual steering rack. Flaming River sells a good kit. The skinnies up front make the no-power steering feel not so bad.
