75' M Ii
 
I have a 75' Mustang II, and i'm looking for a front Airdam.
I've been having a difficult time with it. I'm also looking for a Hoodscoop, a rear spoiler.
If anyone has any sugestions please, help.

Have you tried Mustangs Unlimited? I think they used to sell the King Cobra style front air dam and hood scoop. You have to get the late model catalog though the early model catalog only has parts up through 73. Hope I could help some.

Well thats atleast 3 Mustang II guys here now. Phil Schmidt PShmidt65@prodigy.net he runs Mustang II Specialty shop out of Phenix City Alabama. Now depending on the air dam your looking for I have several I have the dam the cobra spoiler and a king cobra air dam, I do have some extra rear spoilers. Another source is in Holland Michigan call C.A.R. Distrubotors Bernie has no E-Mail but his phone is 616-399-0649. My II credentials I've been driving restoring Mustang II's for the last 14 years. I use to sell parts nationally and these guys do it better. I wan't to hear more about your project.

i have had good luck with mustangs unlimited.
second generation was very good. i haven't bought anything from him in a few years but he drove 150 miles to meet me half way from albany, ny with parts.

Ahh I forgot about Gary I always see him as the "Decal" guy sometimes I forget he has parts. The owner of Second Generation is also an MCA Gold Card holder and Judge, And a good guy to deal with.
Last I knew MU was back ordered on alot of II stuff but that may have changed.

My '75 II, is a Ghia, with 75,000 miles on it, 302, notch back, with the quarter vinyl top, it's silver, straight body, verry little rust, it still has a working eight track player in it.Interior is clean no ripps or tears, one owner before myself. To top it all off I got it for free!

I'm looking to resore it, but for clearance under the hood, I need to find a scoop. the air dam is just for cosmetics, also at around 80 mi. per hr. the car seems to lift off the ground, now it not to bad, but if I had wanted an air plane i would have bought one, right?
I'm picking up a new 4-barrel, and intake for it soon, any suggestions on Headders? I was also thinking or finding some BOSS 302 heads to try to fit on, anyone think it might work?
Also any suggestions about a posi track for it?

Well seeing how you can barely get a set of a headers to fit a II anymore Headman have a set that fit but it's tight. Try and find some old Dynomax headers out of prouduction now for about 3 years you can still stumble across them. As for the Boss heads yes you can put canted valve 351 Cleveland heads on a 302 the intake is avalible and I belive I just heard a price of a 1500.00 for hte intake. The heads are not that cheap either. you would be further ahead with an Aluminum set of heads. IE: Dart Windors Roush 200's TFS twisteds. You won't see me say the word Edelbrock for heads I don't like them and the first and last set I had cracked after 400 miles of street use.

Add one more II owner.

One other note you will have to fabricate headers to fit the cleveland heads in the II or get a cutting torch and a hammer.

there is a set of headers for a 351 C swap on ebay. the ad says it will work for pinto/mustang II

thanks, for all the help guys. I think I could also use a little help about this site, as in how to talk to people directly? I don't know to much about the use of chat rooms, and also whens a good time for them?
As for my car it's going to take some time to fix up, funding issues, i'm sure some of you can understand.
I do hope to eventualy restore everything, except perfomance, of course, thats another issue!

That's cool, I was just wondering. He was the founder of Easyriders magazine. He was also one of the three coolest people I have ever known. He never asked for anything, but would give a total stranger the shirt off his back. Great guy.

Yeah you don't want to restore the engine back to factory performance specs unless you think that 139 Horse power might hurt ya LOL. I'm currently building a 78 T-Top that I'm hoping to get out of for under 1500.00 with paint and body work. a strange mix of Linclon and ford van and a coupe parts car. I paid nothing for the T-top pretty solid and clean minor dings and dents yellow outside black interior that needs help I bought the coupe with the good interior bits I needed for 100 bucks plus drove it for a year with the 2.3 auto in it. bought a Ford van with a 351 and C-6 in it for 200, sold the C-6 for 200 bucks. Bought an AOD from a Linclon for 150. so price outlay is up to 250 dollars I bought the 28 oz aod flywheel for 55.00 the TV cable and braket came out of a 89 Ford van with a straight 6 10 bucks at the local wrecker. pulled the top end of the windsor down added a slightly bigger lunati cam and lifters 130.00 picked up and alum 4 bbl from a swap meet 50 bucks a 700 Holley for 25.00 rebuilt it for 20. did a respray on the engine and heads so my grand total to now is right around 400 bucks. I'm going on the theroy that you can build a nice car that will beat a slomaro to death for under 2000.00.

76 cobra II
 
I have a 76 cobra II when I got it it had an 80 302 with 351 cleveland 2bbl heads and a 5spd, the engine uses a boss 302 intake and the headders went through and around every thing there was lots of cutting done and it appears that they had to be put on in pieces while juggling the engine with a floor jack then welded together( I didn't build this thing I aquired it) well there was a small problem with the engine,seems that whoever built it didn't bother to match the ports in the heads to the massive ports in the intake so the engine stumbled on acceleration so now it's sitting on a stand in my shop waiting to have the ports matched and the headders......had to use a sawzall to get them out and it had to be done before I could remove the engine

Hope you saved all those header pieces so you have a template for new ones your real handy with a welder. I love the Mustang II put those C heads need a bigger engine bay. Keep us posted on that project would love to see some pics of it in there.

well I don't have any pictures. It was a real tight fit, I think that this was a high school autoshop project,, atleast thats what the guy I got it from said but he wasn't real sure. I don't know if it's going back in, it was quite the job getting it out without wrecking something. I have a 5.0 FI I was thinking about dropping in but there are several guys trying to buy it and I have a 67 coupe I'm playing with that might get the clevor, cause theres more room for it. As for the cobra it sits out back for the time being waiting its turn, the body isn't bad ,the quarters are a little soft but the rest of it is restoreable and its all there and yes I kept the header parts

Well, as i was saying, i am looking for a few parts, if anyone happens to have them, or posibly knows where, it would help alot.

Again, thoose parts are;
Front air dam
Hood scoop
Rear spoiler

I know I have mentioned them before, but I am still looking for, mainly the air dam. Thanx

Ok which air dam are you looking for? the King Cobra? CobraII? or the stocker that mounts under the bumper?

I have A NOS King Cobra 3 piece still in the Ford boxes 1200.00
I have the bumper style that was stock on most of them for 50.00
