Swapping in newer buckets

Have any of y'all ever swapped in newer bucket seats in an early Mustang. Mine is a '66. I wonder how you matched up the seat studs with the existing mounting holes. Or were new holes drilled? The old seats are shot & used buckets might be cheaper than rebuilt seats at a swap meet. Plus I like the idea of power seats. That would be SWEET!

The seat brackets themselves would have to be changed. If you take the seat brackets off of your curent buckets, you could have a plate made to mount them to newer style buckets. Most good machine shops can do this fairly cheap. just a thought. Or, you could call mustangs unlimited and get all new upholstery for your current buckets. they provide the full kit including new foam. Two things to try :D
