73 steering wheels

I am looking for a 73 Mustang 2 spoke steering wheel "horn Assembly". IT's a plastic foundation for the horn lines to set into.
And a simulated wood grain plastic frame. I have the other parts.
Been around the world trying to find it. They do not make repos,
Nor can I find a complete wheel. Any help out there?

I had the same problem you did when I was working on my car. No one makes parts for these steering wheels. I finaly got pissed off enought about my horn not working to go out and buy a grant wheel. I would suggest finding one of the 3 spoke wheels if you are trying to stay orginal or getting a nice grant wheel like I did.

73 Steering

Thanks for the reply ! I have been looking for sometime over the web. I may have found one out of a junk yard. I was told by a few mustang shops that the repos never quite fit properly and there are horn problems ???? What can you tell me??

It would be nice to find an orginal steering wheel in near perfect shape but the chances of that are low. I have never heard of repo steering wheels not fitting properly and as far as the horn not working, I have no clue.

The 3 metal spoke steering wheels with wood grip? My 64 has one of those. I didnt know it was such a hot item.

Sorry, I just got these cars, so excuse me when I say 'oooh, shiny!'

72/73 steering wheel

Thanks for your reply.
The 72/73 Mustang Has a 2 spoke foam back, upolstered in the delux vinyl. A Horn mount sets over the spokes with a simulated wood frame, the horn button lays across the entire spoke.
I have emailed every Mustang shop on the web. I will find one.
