what does it mean when at 140 degrees celcius
the oil press. drops to about 20-25 psi and white exhuast starts coming out ??

is the prob. cause the engine is overheating?

Very high. 140C = 284 F. I'm surprised that the car will even run for long at that temp without blowing a hose, gasket, etc. And yes that would thin the oil and lower the oil pressure. And yes, it is at least partly due to that ultra high coolant temp.

WoW!!!! That is hot. When the smoke comes out...how does it run??? Do you think you have a blown headgasket??

Get it cooled down and see what you have.

What are you running for radiator, fan, thermostate, etc.?????

i bought a new watr pump the old one was rusted
also it had a 3 row now a 4 row
but the pump is making a new noise

What kind of noise?? I would be suspect of a new pump that makes noise.

Is the plate on the back of the new pump??

It isn't a Discount Auto Part or similar pump is it??

The radiator isn't clogged?? Full of rust??

Just way too hot.

Do you have bubbles in radiator??

Does the system build up pressure real fast?? The upper hose get REAL hard with pressure??

Have you pulled plugs and checked for water on them?? Checked compression??

Does the smoke that comes out smell like coolant?? If you hold you hand in it by the tailpipe how does it feel??

it was the bolts i tightened them and it went away( moise)

uhh its an orieleys pump dallas mustang wanted too much for 1
uhh the old opne was but i bought a new one and its in there now

i have no probs. any more but alot of crap was wrong with it
no havent pulled the plugs or checked the comp.

When you start your car leave the radiator cap off for the first few minutes and look down in the radiator, after it warms up you should see the water flowing without bubbles. This will also tell you if your thermostat is opening.

Defintely don't run the engine too long at higher temps will cause alot of damage. As far as the exhaust goes that's good that it has a normal smell. Are you driving this or just running it in the driveway?

It is good to hear from another local guy I live off Highway 66 & Liberty Grove. Listen for me running my 393W with no exhaust in my garage . :D

That high of temp is no good for the oil. I'd go ahead and change the oil, and when you do, look carefully at the oil coming out of the pan. If you have a blown head gasket, you'll most likely see water come out before the oil (oil floats on water). It's a quick, cheap way to look for signs of a blown head gasket.

i took the thermostat out and again!!!!!!!! i have fixed the prob no more overheating !!!!!!!!

what kind of damage can runnig at high temps cause?
o and i drove it around everywhere like that ( overheated)

The damage will be hard to judge but defintely change the oil and then change it again after about 500 miles. This will help but there is not much else to do.

Pony your just around the corner I will be keeping myb eyes open for your stang, what color is it? My car is a 69 white fastback with all the deluxe options, I just finished my 393W and am trying to finish the blue interior, here is a picture before starting my restoration:
