Trickflow Twisted Wedge Heads Headers?

I am convinced that I want to go with Trickflow heads for my 289 engine, but now I am curious to know if there are headers that would go on these babies with no or very little modification. I'd be more interested in getting Tri-Y's but long tubes would be just good too if they were the only other option. Thanks for the info.

I use TFTW heads with Tri-Y's with no problems at all. Use 2.5" pipes with 2 or 3 chamber FlowMasters. Mine's good to 6000 RPM with good low end torque.

Thanks for the reply Rev, I had a feeling you would be replying to the post. I was wondering what brand of Tri-Y's you are using and how well did they fit on the heads? Did you have to do any adjustments to the headers or where they a direct bolt on? Thanks!:D

My Tri-Y's are made by Pro Products. I got them some years ago at John's Mustang here in Houston. They bolted right up to my 351W heads that I was using then. With my new TFTW's, they bolted right up also. I have always had header leaks every so often. I then just buy new gaskets and reinstall. Thats the only problem I've ever had. BTW, don't bother getting nickel or chrome finish. It looks bad after 20 miutes running time. Get Jet-Hot coated ones if you can afford it, otherwise just plain black.
