hey every one-


I would like to know what kind of ride air shocks will give my stang. I like the bumpy feeling. for some reason the smoth ride makes it feel like I can't controll the car. but I am still looking for ways to raise my rear end up alitle. and it's time to buy new shocks any ways. so some one menchined air shocks but couldn't tell me what kind of ride they would give my stang.

My friend has air u shocks on his 67 camaro, the rear end is deffinatly very stiff. There is almost no give. If you do run the air up shcoks on a high horsepower car they will cause the back tires to bounce and give u no traction at all. On my mustang I used the leaf srping lift kit from Napa it was pretty cheap, and it gives u the option of raising the rear 3 to 6 inches.

Air shocks will surely stiffen the ride. But......you're putting the weight of the car on the shock mounting bolts!!!

Shocks aren't for carrying weight. The springs do that. The shock just dampens the spring so it doesn't continue to rebound back and forth.

I have seen "many" mustangs with the flooring ripped out in the back from air shocks.

Again, used in moderation they do a job, cheap. But, no one leaves it at that.

Why not just get new rear springs?? Have you checked the prices on them lately?? They aren't all that expensive.

Or go to a spring company and see about getting them rearched or adding a leaf.

well I definitly dont want the flooring to get riped. thanks for the advice. I will stay away from air shocks.
