Winsor or cleveland

I have a 68 mustang conv't that needs an engine. I don't know enough to pick but is the 351 winsor or 351 cleveland better? Just looking for some opnions thanks.

351W

It's so much easier to get after market parts for the Winsor. That makes for a cheaper build also IMHO. I would go with the Winsor.

Rev's right. There are so many parts available for the Windsors now, it' tuff not to go that way. With the stroker kits, and EFI you can pretty much get all the horsepower you want. The only reason to go Cleveland is if you're looking to run high RPM's. With those 4V heads and big valves, you can rev as high as you want. Either that or you're just stubborn like me and run one just cuz ya can!

ditto what everyone has said. I think the cleveland was the hot ticket in the 70's-mid 80's. But technology has made the windsor an equal or better performer. Plus as mentioned, cheaper, easier to get parts for, more aftermarket parts, no suspect oiling problems.
