matching numbers.
hello every one.
how do I tell if my engine is the original engine for my car. and what ellse needs to be original for the numbers to be matching thanks ford kid |
What year is this? What is the VIN#? There are a ton of engine codes, we will need a little more info.

o I'm sorry. maybe I worded it wrong. I wasn't asking you guys to tell me if it was ariginal or not. I was asking how you tell if it is original or not. that way I can do it my self.
thanks ford kid |
Well, first you decode the VIN and see if the engine they gave matches the engineyou have. Next I would find the casting number on the engine block and decoed that. That will tell you what year it was made and what car it was placed in. This isn't a full proof way, but it's 90% accurate in my mined.
