OK, last 2 questions for now

Sorry , not trying to be a post **ore, but I have 2 more questions left for the time being.
I have already made a list of minor repair, minor projects and major projects that I want to start on, the major being farthest down the line. The first minor project however I may start next weekend.
The first one I want to try (one my wiring manual gets here) is rewiring the engine bay to clean it up a bit. possibly running everything through the fenders. Can anyone offer me any pointers/tips/tricks to make this easier?

My second question might be better posted in another forum, but I have been looking at the AutoLoc door/entry kits, has anyone else here used one? Opinions?Problems? Are they worth the money?

Thanks again,
J

well I can't help you about the wireing.

but about the auto/lock. if your talking about the keyless entry my friend used one on his 68 bug. the only problem he had was he got the cheaper kit so the cylinoid(or something like that) broke after A couple of months so the door wouldn't openlike it was suposed to. but he upgraded that part to the more expensive one and hasn't had A problem since then. it's been about 6 months.

hope that helps.

On my '65, I removed the under hood harnesses, removed all the old wrapping, inspected the wires, repaired any sins, re-wrapped them and reinstalled them in car. It sounds like a difficult job but its pretty mundane. I did add a thermal sleeve for the ignition harness that runs along the intake manifold. I also spaced this piece off the manifold with vinyl coated metal clamps. Heatshrink tubing was used at all ends to make the pieces look neat and tidy. The key thing about doing wiring is to take the time to make it look good. It doesn't matter if its exposed. In fact, if you make it look good, it brings more "awes" than if you hide it.
