1968 Mustang Help

I currently have a 68 Mustang Coupe that is a V8 302 c4, plus headers And i need some help in getting my car to perfrom better acceleration/torque wise or more HP. Currently all i have done is my exhaust with a xpipe, 40 series flowmaster. But it is quite slow in acceleration (BTW its a AUTO) and i would love some help

Thx

more power

Well, there is a lot of stuff you can do, depending on how much money you want to spend. Easy stuff would be like a better carb, or rejetting it, better intake, rockers, etc. Or you could get bigger gains in hp/torque by upgrading heads or stroking the block, but in doing some of these "more involved" changes, you'll need upgrade other components as well to get the full benefits. People might need more info (like how much you are willing to spend and how far you want to get into your motor) before they can give you specific ideas on what to do.

Engine condition?

I'm wondering what condition the engine is in? It won't help much to add speed parts to a worn out engine. If the short block is in good shape, then I would suggest cam, heads, intake and 4bbl. carb. headers are needed as well.

If you want to, look at my layout in users rides. Just hit the link in my sig to see what I did for a reasonbly peppy street driver.
