Proper tire size

I have a set of magnum 500 styled rims size 15" x 7". What is the proper tire size for a 68 coupe?

Your local tire guy should be able to tell you the conversion for the height...

Here is a table:

That's what I run in my '66. 235/60/15 in the rear and 215/60/15 in front. That's with it lowered front and rear a couple of inches. It's about all I can fit into the wheel wells.

Re: Proper tire size

My last 68 FB had 15X7 with 225/70R15. Seem to work pretty good. Only dragged a couple of times.

Getting ready to install wheels/tires on a 68 Cougar.

Plan on the same set up 15X7 with 225/60R15.

Any info or comments on this set up???
