Air Conditioning
I have a 67 that the air conditioning compressor is not coming on. I have the system charged by jumping to the battery, but it won't run on it's own. does anybody have a wiring diagram for a 67 Mustang.

Re: Air Conditioning
I had a similar problem a while back on my '67 and ended up wiring it directly to a switch I attached under the dash. I piggy backed it to one of the fuses - I think it was the back-up lights/radio fuse. Perhaps a bit of "Oklahoma engineering" but it works for me. E.

Thanks Elvis but I think I'll try to trace it back first and if I have to I'll try your suggestion, Thanks.

Re: Air Conditioning
(Oklahoma engineering)??? Sry dont have a wireing diagram. If you do use a diffrent power source I would recommend at least a 20 amp switch and fuse, and run it by itself. AC clutchs tend to pull more amprege than most circuits. Any ways good luck.

Re: Air Conditioning
sounds like you may have a faulty low pressure switch, this is a safety to prevent unit from running when low on gas. I say faulty assuming you do have the unit charged properly. Try jumping lps out, if it runs and you have good pressures, replace it. Not sure, it should also have a high pressure switch, same trouble shooting.

Re: Air Conditioning
Hey Guys, found the problem it was the switch on the vacuum pod that works the defrost door and the dash vents. The slide was sticking and wouldn't let the lever contact the switch, all right now.
