1967-68 Mustangs

There totaled over 120,000 of these fastbacks in 67-68 and some how i cannot seam to find any restorable/drivable peice of crap ones! I can spend up to about $4000 but havent found one. Okok so im being picky about the fast back model but I want one badly! By the way I'm in northeast PA if anyone knows of one!! 2892v, 4v, hipo, 302, or a 390! I can't even find a damn 65-66 fastback, by the way I'll take one of those gladly! I saw a 66 junker with no nose or anything and the guy wants $10,000! HAHAHA shoot me now.

I think your numbers are a little high on the fastback figures. The numbers I've got a closer to 115K, or about 15% of total production for those years. Add 30 plus years of decay and eliminate the ones that aren't 4V cars and you've narrowed down the possibilites quite a bit. As the very proud owner of a 67 Scode, I can tell you that these humpbacks have a great deal of owner loyalty. There have been two in the Knoxville area in the last couple of months that meet all of your criteria and they both sold in the 6-8K price range. The problem is most people that own them don't see alot around, and assume (rightly or not) that they are therefore more valuable. I hope you find one. How far are you willing to go to get one. If you don't mind road trips I'll keep my eyes opened. I always look for them anyway.

AS you may know from previous posts, I'm the proud owner of two 67 Fastbacks. One GT 289 and regular 289. IMO they are the best looking style of the 64 to 68's. I can't ever imagine selling them. Don't give up though, there are some out there. If your really desperate I have a 67 coupe w/ a 289.

Well, for now i think i'm gonna settle for a 66 coupe. Hey atleast its a mustang. And if I ever find one i can always sell it!

Just picked up the latest edition of the bargain mart today. 68 fastback 289 4speed-5800
68 fastback GT 302-6000
67 fastback GTA 58k original miles 11000.
Three in one week is unusually high in this area. Just thought I'd let you know they sell here.

In 1968 there were 42,580 Fastbacks sold. They sold for a base price of 2,578.60...just read it in a Ford publication last week.
