replacing clutch return spring
any ideas on how to replace clutch return spring. Help is appreciated
|
I know this is going to sound stupid, but crawl under the car, locate the spring or springs (I think there are two of them), note where they go, yank them out (they are not real strong) and replace with new ones.
Or was there something more specific? If you are new to the hobby, I don't mean to insult you. Don't be afraid to poke around and see how things work and go together. We all started off not knowing anything and have to start somewhere. |
This is the spring under the dash that is strong and not easy to get at let alone remove. No insult taken...should have been more specific

There is a stop bumpper on the clutch peddle. Remove the bumpper and hold with both hands as you lift the peddle up. If you don't hold it it may bust you in the face. Once this is removed and peddle rased all the way up the spring can be replace easy. It would be best to remove the instrament cluster and then you will not have to get down on the floor. I have done it both ways. Good Luck!
