390 lifter problems

I just got a new cam for my 67 390 fairlane and the new lifters are about 1/8" short. what lifters do I have and what do I need?

First, make sure you have bought the right lifter and that you have the correct ones delivered to you.

Is the 1/8" the length over all?? Or is it the length from the face to the push rod socket??

That is alot of difference if it is the installed height. I'd check and make sure it is the right application.

it turned out to be wrong lifters. the parts guy gave "ford" lifters. not fe.
