Engine Block Storage???

How do I go about storing a bare engine block?

I planned to acquire two bare engine blocks for future projects now that Ford quit making small blocks but right now they will have to sit inside of a metal barn with a dirt floor. I thought maybe about each in an engine stand, oiled down real good and have a plastic bag wrapped around it??

Would it be better to at least assemble the short block on each? I don't really want to, if truth be told. They will sit at least a year.

Thanks.

Just do exactly what you said. As long as you you keep it oiled and sealded you won't have any peoblems.

I prefer using ATF. Seems to stick better. Also, suck the air out of the bag with a shop vac and seal it up.
