Question on compatability

I have a 70 convertable with a 302. I am wondering if a Mustang II front end would be compatable and what the benefits might be in performance?

Also how difficult the transistion would be and has anyone done it?

Are you asking if you can graft a Mustang II front nose onto a '70 Mustang?

If so, I really doubt it. The II is narrower and doesn't have anyting in common with the 1970 except being a Mustang.

Grafting the suspension of a Mustang II into a classic is sometimes done by the heavy duty hot rodders who want to get rid of the shock towers to make room for a big block motor. You can also get improved handling. The room in the engine bay is not as much of a problem with the 70 as it was with the earlier cars. Ford figured out a way to fit the big motors in, but there was a serious lack of working room under the hood.
I know "kits" are available for the earlier Mustangs; do not know about availability for the 70's.
