reading VIN
i am looking at a 66 fastback with GT trim but think it may be a clone. how can i tell for sure. thanks

There is no way to tell by the VIN. You have to look for the heavy duty sway bar, disk brakes, GT lights and badges, and GT gascap. There is a company called MartiAutoWorks, 12007 W. Peoria, El Mirage, AZ who might be able to tell you for a price. Phone is 623-935-2558.
