Question The LSC rearend swap

Is the Lincoln LSC 8.8" rearend a bolt-in item for the Fox body 5.0 Mustang? I believe I read somewhere it's a little wider than the Mustang 8.8" rearend. Will it be a problem in a Mustang?

The Mark VII also used air ride suspension, so I'm not sure how that figures into the equation, and I don't have one sitting around the house to look at anymore, lol.

That being said, I think some of the Mark's came with rear disc like the Thunderbirds, didn't they?

yes, the mark VII's have rear disc brakes. You will have to figure out how to use the exisitng parking brake cable, or swap it. not sure if it will work. Also, you will have 5 lug rear axles. i dont think the air bags will be a problem, as they sit where the springs normally sit.

the mark 7 rear end will bolt right in. its about 3/4" wider on each side, so if you have some fat tires it may be a problem. The air ride will have zero affect, the bags mount on the control arms. As far as emergecy brake cables go, you will need some SVO cables. They will have the correct attachments for the calipers. You cant use Cobra cables because they are a different caliper. And most if not all of them were 3.27s trak loks. Hope this helps
