Update on my scraping rotors
Just thought I'd update everyone on my scraping rotor problem. A few weeks ago I changed my front pads w/out having my rotors turned. They looked ok and in the spring I'm installing '93 Cobra rotors to go with my '93 rims so I figured these rotors would get me through the winter. After putting everything back together I was getting loud scraping noises from both sides. I figured I had to take it all apart again and have the rotors turned. I bought new bearings (figured I'd change them while I was in there). After putting my car up on stands, I removed the left tire and for some reason looked inside my rim. The steel dust cover, which has been on the car since I bought it in '98 had noticable scrape marks on it. I popped it out and put my wheel back on. No more scrape!! Yeah, its a little embarassing, but if I can help anyone out, I don't mind confessing my stupidity!!
