Question cams & carbs

Im working on a 68 "C" 289 (2v)

I have been looking for a camshaft and Carburetor. I found a summit cam I think I like. Im looking for somthing that will give me more on the top end keep in mind I will be driving this daily. I what a somewhat smooth idle and to get this I think Im looking for more rotation vs lift.

So to the question, What do you have in your Mustang and how do you feel about the performance?

Whats your thought's on this subject?

I know that this will lead me to look at the intake, heads, Pistons, and crankshaft. Please feel to comment.

Im my 66 coupe Im running a Edlebrock cam, carb and Intake. This cam has alot of lift so the car runs at a ruff idle. But very fun to drive :-)
