Air shocks will surely stiffen the ride. But......you're putting the weight of the car on the shock mounting bolts!!!
Shocks aren't for carrying weight. The springs do that. The shock just dampens the spring so it doesn't continue to rebound back and forth.
I have seen "many" mustangs with the flooring ripped out in the back from air shocks.
Again, used in moderation they do a job, cheap. But, no one leaves it at that.
Why not just get new rear springs?? Have you checked the prices on them lately?? They aren't all that expensive.
Or go to a spring company and see about getting them rearched or adding a leaf.
