So, like I tried to point out despite my biased views, it is more about the frequency of the oil changes than the oil itself. I always try to fill the new filter with oil before I install it as this cuts down on running time with no oil pressure by 5-10 seconds. Yes I have put a stopwatch on several engines and timmed the length of time untill oil pressure builds with dry filters and pre-filled ones. And with a mechanical oil pressure gauge hooked up it can take up to 10 plus seconds for the engine to fill a dry filter and actually get oil pressure to the gauge. Take that time, multiply it by the number of oil changes thru the life of the engine and you would be amazed at how long the engine runs without oil pressure if you do not pre-fill the filter. It is a pain to do but does wonders for the life of the engine.
