Now when you sat crossmember do you mean the steering centerlink? based on what I have reread
I think that is thepart you are talking about. So this first part goes for that issue, I did not relize that 6cyl centerlink would not clear but hey are 2 different part numbers one for teh 6 and one for the 8 my guess is you may need to get the 8 cyl centerlink. That being said have to looked at maybe swapping in a late model "mini" starter and see if it clears.
Okay if it is the actual front cross member you are talking about this will apply, The front cross member can be unbolted and then moved to the front side of the strut towers thus giving you a little more room, a couple of inches at most.
