What car, what engine, what carb?
I think we may need a little more info to diagnose the problem. Sounds to me as if it could be a leaking needle & seat. And then it could be an incorrect float level. Where does the fuel leak from and where does it go? A leaking power valve would do what you describe. That should have been replaced when you did the rebuild, but there can be defectbve new parts. Give us alittle more info.
