I had an aluminum one on my last set-up. I was not a big fan of the Hipo style. Even though it weighs more, I went back to the old cast iron style. I had troubles with my last ones lasting and or not leaking.
I am probably the only one to go to a cast iron one from an aluminum pump...but thought I would give you my two cents.
