Post problem with my 68

approximately 1 week ago the car started having a couple of problems, never one at a time, always in pairs.

1. When driving on the freeway / interstate and generally on an incline, the car begins to act as though it's running out of gas when it's actually full. At times it will backfire and stall once I stop. It then starts right up and go's but will soon begin the process all over again. The engine was rebuilt in 97 and the carb in 99.The gas tank is only a couple of years old.
Fuel pump?

2. Another heater core went out, the third since I purchased the car in 96. Something strange that I just noticed tonight, the overflow for the heater has been dripping water but now there seem to be a clear oil or somethiing mixed in. It is clear and oily like brake fluid, could it be gas?

Hopefully with all of you being owners this is something you've run across in the past. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again

Roger
