the 351m is an entirely different engine then what you want. Just to give you an idea of its size....the bell housing for the 351m is the same a a 460.
you could make it fit, but do you want to cut your shock towers??
I am not sure of your location, but around here you kind find 302's all the time. There are plentiful and the 351 is not too far behind it.
you do not have to have a certain year 302. SOme are better than others, but they will all work.
I have a 74 302 in a 65 fastback with a 302. In the spring it is getting an 87 H.O roller short block.
You will still have small things to change. depending on year the and tranny, the flywheel's may need to be changed....but any ford 302 will fit in your 65 with small accesory changes, and no car modifications.
hopefully this helps you.....
just for a little more help on finding the 302....go to a junkyard, tell them you want a rebuildable 302, shoul dbe able to pick one up for 150-200 dollars
65 fastback, 302, aod, 4.10's
