Default fuel regulator

I want to know what I should set the fuel regulator for my mustang. 650 Holley on a 69 302(stock) except for msd. Holley says the mechanical fuel pump will shut off at 7 psi.

I'd set it at 5.5-6 psi on a stock 302.

Most carbs can only handle 6.5psi. I would only go at about 5.5 i got mine set to 5.9 on my BB with an 850 carb and it works well.
