![]() Its bad enough mty headlights don't work, but today just turned into a living nightmare. Gt in my car to go out and when I pressed the clutch down a loud "pop" went off and the clutch pedal went to the floor. The pedal doesn't return to the original position, it just sits there, pedal to the floor. My linkage and everything elese loks good, so I think it might be my pressure plate. Can anybody give me some insight into my dilema.

![]() Remove the lower pushrod from the linkage and operate the clutch fork by hand. There should be a small amount of play in the fork (perhaps 1/4") but not much more. If theres a lot of play, something's busted inside the clutch case (bell housing).
